The Masculinization of Medical Spas

As the workforce becomes more competitive, men are turning to medical spa treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic in Orlando to maintain an advantage. In fact, this new age of male grooming has become so mainstream that words such as “Bro-tox” and “man-ity” (as in “vanity”) are entering our vocabulary as an increasing number of men seek med spa services.

Clever phrases aside, it comes as no surprise that more men want to look better and maintain their professional image. In order compete with younger colleagues, men need to look polished. This is especially true for men who are hoping to ace an interview and land a job. Medical spa treatments can help them look more refreshed and increase their self-confidence so that they make a better first impression.

Just for Men

Men have different needs than women when it comes to cosmetic enhancement. They want to look energetic and youthful but not too overly groomed. To achieve this, I use a very conservative approach when administering injectable treatments such as BOTOX or dermal fillers. I can smooth out lines on the forehead, around the eyes and near the mouth while still allowing for a normal range of facial movements. I take special care to avoid a “plastic” or overdone look while still creating substantial changes that are quite dramatic.

There are a variety of ways men can look their best. In addition to injectable treatments, I often ask my male patients to consider procedures such as:

  • Skin care
  • Laser hair removal
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Facelift
  • Liposuction
