This 47-year-old mother of 2, from Orlando, Florida, is a professional career woman who jogs 5 miles a day. Despite exercise and eating healthy, she was unable to get rid of fatty deposits about her abdomen, back, and waist. Frustrated with the process, she sought mesotherapy elsewhere. She described the injections as painful and unsuccessful; in addition to which she felt it left her lop-sided. She became disheartened but continued to diligently exercise and diet. She scheduled a consultation with Dr. Spence but was worried about taking the time off work that she thought liposuction would entail, as she is a full time health care professional and a mother. She wanted no downtime with minimal postoperative recovery and very little bruising. She was concerned about the pain she had experienced with mesotherapy along with the unevenness of the fat about her hips.
At her consultation detailed drawings were done of the fat to be removed, mapping was performed, and the tiny puncture sites to perform SculptEase™ were outlined as well as her recovery process.
The day of surgery she took no pain medications and was awake and comfortable for the entire procedure. She described the procedure as more like a massage. She went directly to massage therapy after the procedure where the local anesthetic fluid used for SculptEase™ liposuction was expressed. She was fitted for her compression garment and subsequently drove herself home; she required no narcotic pain medications.
After her first SculptEase™ session she attended her son’s ball game later that night and returned to work the following day. At her first SculptEase™ she had 800cc of fat removed from her back and flanks, with 450 cc from the left and 350 cc from the right to correct the asymmetry. During her second session of SculptEase™, just 4 weeks later, she had 725 cc of far removed from her abdomen. These photos were taken 2 weeks after her second session with virtually no bruising.
