Board-certified dermatopathologist and dermatologist Dr. Jeffrey B. Stricker joins Orlando’s Hillcrest Plastic Surgery, with a second location in The Villages. Dr. Stricker specializes in skin cancer treatment, including Mohs surgery.
Orlando, Florida (June 2014) — The addition of Dr. Jeffrey B. Stricker to Hillcrest Plastic Surgery, reflects an increased emphasis on the beauty as well as the health of the skin at the practice of plastic surgeon Dr. Kenrick A. Spence. This board-certified dermatopathologist and dermatologist brings to the Orlando and Villages-based center decades of experience in skin care and pathology.
A specialist in medical and surgical dermatology, Dr. Stricker will treat patients in Orlando and at the aesthetic institute’s location in The Villages. He is certified in pathology, dermatopathology, laboratory medicine, and medical management, in addition to dermatology.

Dr. Stricker’s education and training include a residency in pathology and a dermatopathology fellowship in Texas, in addition to a dermatology fellowship in Georgia. He earned his undergraduate degree in medical technology and doctoral degree in osteopathic medicine at Michigan State University.
Most recently, Dr. Stricker has specialized in Mohs skin cancer surgery as director of surgery and laboratory director at a Florida dermatology practice. Mohs surgery is an extremely effective and successful treatment for most basal cell and squamous cell cancers (which make up the vast majority of diagnosed skin cancers) that removes cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue.
Dr. Stricker is passionate about emphasizing skin cancer prevention and treatment for Orlando-area patients who come to either Hillcrest location.
“I have extensive training in Mohs surgery and have completed more than 20,000 Mohs skin cancer procedures and diagnosed more than 150,000 skin biopsies,” Stricker says. “The opportunity to collaborate with a plastic surgeon such as Dr. Spence is exciting for me professionally and offers our patients the best treatment possible.”
By working directly with a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Stricker says, patients who need reconstruction after skin cancer removal will benefit from both doctors’ skills.
Dr. Stricker belongs to the College of American Pathologists and is an active member of The American Academy of Dermatology. He’s sat on the American Osteopathic Board of Pathology since 2006, serving as its chairman in 2009-10.
