If you feel like aging has changed your natural appearance, an eyebrow or forehead lift can go a long way in maintaining your confidence and emphasizing your best features. The team at Hillcrest Plastic Surgery offers decades of experience in all our eye and brow procedures. We aim to deliver excellence to each of our clients throughout Orlando and beyond.
How Does a Brow Lift Work?
At Hillcrest Plastic Surgery, we offer three types of brow lifts to suit the unique needs of each of our clients:
- Temporal lift:Â This procedure lifts the tail of the eyebrow through a small incision on the hairline. It is the most common type of brow lift we perform and a favorite of doctors and patients alike.
- Coronal lift:Â A coronal lift works best for people with short foreheads or extensive signs of aging, including sun damage and wrinkles.
- Endoscopic lift:Â Endoscopic lifts are also known as forehead lifts. They focus on subtly raising eyebrow elevation for a natural and understated result.
Before your procedure, you'll meet with one of our knowledgeable cosmetic surgery specialists to learn more about the brow lift process. Your cosmetic specialist will make measurements, analyze your face and skin type, and help you determine whether complementary procedures, like a facelift, would benefit your goals. From there, we will schedule your appointment with a brow lift surgeon.
During the lift, you'll go under local anesthesia while we work. You will be able to return home on the same day as your procedure. For the first week or two following your appointment, you may experience some swelling, bruising and minor pain, but once we remove your stitches and you're fully healed, you'll be able to enjoy a radiant, younger-looking face.
Should You Get a Brow Lift?
As with any plastic surgery procedure, we require our clients to be over the age of 18. Otherwise, almost anyone is a candidate for brow lift surgery. Our procedure is most helpful to those dealing with:
- Drooping or asymmetrical eyebrows
- Eyebrows that have lost their arch
- Forehead frown lines
- Vertical lines between the eyes
If you are still unsure about your brow lift, a consultation with one of our physicians will help you gather the information you need to make a decision. We can also recommend alternative treatments that may suit your needs more effectively.
