What is a facelift?
At Hillcrest Plastic Surgery in Orlando, a facelift can correct deep folds and creases around your nose and mouth and lax skin on the jowls and neck. Renowned for his in-depth facial plastic surgery knowledge and skills, Dr. Kenrick Spence has developed a unique component facelift protocol to precisely evaluate and correct your unique pattern of aging. The benefits: you'll look naturally younger, with a beautifully smooth, elegantly contoured face.
In addition, Dr. Spence is one of the few facial plastic surgeons with the experience and abilities needed for revisionary facelifts. Both men and women dissatisfied with their results from other surgeons often turn to Dr. Spence for his unique skills in performing revisionary, also known as "redo", facelifts.
Take the first step on your journey to enhancing your facial contours. Request a consultation with Dr. Spence today to find out if a facelift in Orlando is right for you. Or, you can give us a call at 407-999-2585, and one of our knowledgeable staff members will be happy to help you.
What is the best age for having a facelift?
When patients visit my practice in Orlando for a facelift, I tell them that choosing this procedure should not be based on their age. That decision is more dependent on how you look. The aging process is unique, and people show signs of aging at different stages of their lives. For example, a very fair-skinned individual with significant sun exposure may be ready for a facelift at 40, while patients with darker complexions and thicker skin may not need a facelift until 55.
How long will it take me to recover from a facelift?
The length of time needed depends on the type of facelift:
- A component facelift typically requires 10 to 14 days.
- A MACS lift typically involves 5 to 7 days.

What is a Mini-Facelift?
Perhaps you have only a few areas of sagging skin on your neck and jowls, with creases and wrinkles on your face. You want to correct those concerns but do not need the more comprehensive facial rejuvenation provided by a traditional facelift. Orlando men and women who fit this description can be ideal candidates for the MACS lift, a type of mini facelift, performed by Dr. Kenrick Spence. It's a less invasive procedure, yet it can achieve a refreshed, younger appearance.
