Orlando men and women who fit this description can be ideal candidates for the MACS lift, a type of mini facelift, performed by Dr. Kenrick Spence. It's a less invasive procedure, yet it can achieve a refreshed, younger appearance.

Who Is a Candidate for a Mini Facelift?

Men and women who have less dramatic signs of aging are good candidates for a MACS lift. Determining whether you may benefit from a mini facelift is part of your consultation. At that time, Dr. Spence can assess your skin elasticity and the muscle tone in your face and neck. Patients with mild or moderate loss of elasticity can typically see dramatic improvement with a MACS lift.

Preparing for Your Procedure

Dr. Spence will provide a detailed assessment of your facial bone structure, along with evaluating your face and neck muscle tone and the laxity of your skin. This information, coupled with your cosmetic goals, will be part of your discussion with Dr. Spence before making decisions about the type of procedure that best suits your needs.

Dr. Spence will tailor a unique skincare regimen for you to use prior to and after getting a mini facelift. Our Orlando aesthetic institute offers facelift patients medical-grade cosmetic products for home use. Dr. Spence will also provide you with detailed instructions for your recovery, so that you can prepare ahead of time.

MACS Facelift Procedure

MACS stands for minimal access cranial suspension. It is a short-scar facelift technique that is less invasive than the component facelift procedure Dr. Spence offers. Because it's less invasive, a MACS facelift is easier to combine with other treatments to complete your facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Spence uses his comprehensive knowledge of facial rejuvenation technology and techniques to customize a treatment plan that integrates both the MACS lift procedure and other techniques. To carry out this treatment plan, Dr. Spence first performs the MACS lift, which requires less access to the underlying facial tissues. He then integrates the other treatments, such as fat transfer to fill out areas such as the cheeks and fractional laser resurfacing to smooth wrinkles.

MACS Lift Recovery & Results

After a MACS lift, patients typically can return to their normal activities within a few days. Many patients can schedule the procedure on a Thursday and return to work the following Monday. Although minor swelling may occur, this usually subsides quickly. After they have recovered, patients enjoy a subtly younger, refreshed appearance.
