Just as aging doesn’t happen overnight, neither should major facial rejuvenation. I believe facial rejuvenation should be a gradual process. When patients come to my medical spa in Orlando, I explain that facial procedures should never result in a pulled or overdone look.
To create natural-looking results, I not only use the most advanced treatments but also personalize the procedures to match each patient’s specific needs.
Typically, I start patients with Restylane® or Perlane®, which are different formulations of hyaluronic acid filler. Restylane is a great option for patients with small smile lines and lip lines, or for treating diminished volume under their eyes and in the lips. Perlane, which is composed of larger particles, is used for larger creases and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Results typically last about 6 months.
Once a patient has experienced success with these fillers, I typically move to longer-lasting fillers. JUVÉDERM® can last up to a year, while RADIESSE® usually lasts for 9 to 14 months. Made from a poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra® Aesthetic adds volume and stimulates collagen growth for results that can last up to 2 years.
