This 38-year-old mother and career woman stands at 5 ft 5 and weighs 150 lbs. Despite exercising twice a week, including jogging and cardio, she reported having a 5 lb weight gain over the past year. She felt that after pregnancy, despite a healthy diet and exercise, she was not able to regain he pre-pregnancy form. Her areas of concern included her abdomen, flanks, back, arms, and her medial and lateral thighs.
At the time of her evaluation she was found to have good skin tone in most areas, in the medical thigh area her skin tone was modest. The muscles of the abdomen were fairly tight from her abdominal crunches and even where the skin was loose it had good elasticity. No hernias were found. She had deep fatty deposits about her hips and abdomen.
Detailed drawings were made with evaluation of skin tone and elasticity along with the best places to hide the tiny puncture sites for the power assisted liposuction.
Power assisted liposuction with tumescent solution was used to remove a total of 4300cc of pure fat. The incisions were hidden in the panty line, the belly button, and the small of the back.
The patient is shown at 12 weeks. Her skin has retracted nicely, producing the body contour that she wanted. She is back to her full exercise protocol and enjoying her new body. The areas addressed included liposuction of the abdomen, back, flanks, and saddlebags regions.
